These are tailor made special packages whereby your principal mode of transport shall be by light aircraft. The benefit being quick and comfortable transport allowing you to enjoy the safari for a longer period.
- RTSF 002: 5DAYS/4NIGHTS SAMBURU & MASAI MARA FLYING PACKAGE
Day 1. Nairobi/Samburu
This is a 5 days flying package to Masai Mara and Samburu National Reserve. Samburu is a relatively small park north of Mt. Kenya and across the equator a unique landscapes of rounded and rugged hills and undulating plains. The Reserve is home to rarely found species such as the Beisa Oryx, Grevy's zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe. Accommodation will be at Samburu Serena Lodge.
Day 1. Nairobi/Samburu
Depart Wilson Airport and fly to Samburu National Reserve. On arrival you will met and transferred to Samburu Serena Lodge. Lunch and afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2. Samburu
Morning and afternoon game drives. Optional activities include visiting a local Samburu village and camel rides. All meals and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge.
Day 3. Samburu/Masai Mara or Samburu-Nairobi- Masai Mara.
Transfer to the airstrip for flight to Maasai Mara although this direct flight depends on the number of passengers on that route, if they are few the airline may decide not to fly direct but via Nairobi.The flight from Samburu to arrives at approx.10:45hrs. Be met at the airstrip and be transfered to Mara Serena/any other lodge or Camp. Relax and after lunch have an afternoon game drive. Animals commonly spotted in the park include the big cats: lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Lions are often found in large prides and it's not uncommon to see them hunting. Elephant, buffalo, zebra, and hippo roam in large herds while the topi, impala, and Coke's hartebeest are also abundant.
Day 4. Masai Mara:
Spend the whole day exploring the Masai Mara plains. Optional activities include an early morning Balloon safari to have a bird view of the flora and fauna of Maasai Mara, another activity would be a visit to a Masai boma{homestead. Meals and accommodation at the Mara Serena Safari lodge or similar.
Day 5. Masai Mara - Nairobi.
Morning game drive back to lodge for breakfast. From Masai Mara there is morning and afternoon flights that you can choose from. Depending on your choice you will be
transferred to the airstrip at least 30min before your flight.Arrival in Nairobi transfer to hotel or to the Airport for homebound flight
